Clemson’s offensive lineup will undergo a significant change as one of its key playmakers departs.
Will Shipley, the dynamic running back, has announced his decision to enter the 2024 NFL draft, marking the end of his tenure at Clemson. With aspirations to showcase his talents at the professional level, Shipley aims to secure a spot on an NFL roster for the upcoming football season.
Throughout his collegiate career from 2021 to 2023, Shipley demonstrated his prowess, amassing a total of 2,747 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns on 526 rushing attempts. Additionally, he recorded 602 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 85 receptions, showcasing his versatility on the field. In his final season, the junior running back showcased his skills with 827 rushing yards and five touchdowns, along with 244 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in 12 games.
With Shipley departing, he becomes one of the most intriguing names in the 2024 NFL draft. His ceiling is high but he has a lot of work to do to ensure that he is capable of filling the role he’s meant to have in the NFL.
