Watch what Purdue head coach Matt Painter said about Ohio State after the game

Purdue handed Ohio State its first loss of the season in both teams’ Big Ten basketball opener. Watch what Matt Painter said after the game.

The Ohio State basketball team went on the road in the Big Ten to open conference play and lost a defensive Donnybrook to Purdue 67-60. It was a typical Big Ten game that had a lot of contested shots, physical play, and a ton of defense.

In the end, Ohio State simply did not have the firepower to go up against the size and physicality of Purdue. The Boilermakers took control of the game late in the first half and never surrendered the lead the rest of the way.

Purdue head coach Matt Painter met with the media on a Zoom call after the game and had discussed what he saw from his team and out of Ohio State. In case you missed any of his comments about the Buckeyes, we have them all for you thanks to the Journal Courier.

Ohio State will next be in action on Saturday against UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic. Tip-off is set for 4:15 p.m.
