The star of training camp for the Rams was Van Jefferson, quickly ascending the depth chart at wide receiver. The rookie out of Florida made play after play in camp, some even coming against Jalen Ramsey in coverage.
He hasn’t completely passed Josh Reynolds as the WR3 on offense, but he’s making a name for himself in L.A. In his NFL debut on Sunday night, Jefferson made a spectacular over-the-shoulder catch on a perfect throw from Jared Goff.
It was to beat fellow rookie Trevon Diggs, who actually had good coverage on the play but it was a better throw and catch.
WE SEE YA, ROOK!
Not too shabby for your first NFL catch, @VanJefferson12!🤩 pic.twitter.com/MXoq5iN1TV
