WATCH: Tyrese Haliburton makes acrobatic layup around Celtics defender

In tonight’s victory against the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings rookie guard Tyrese Haliburton finished this fast break layup in fashion.

When Sacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton fell to them at the 12th pick in the 2020 NBA draft, he was quickly labeled as the steal of the draft. Through 41 games so far this season, Haliburton has been more than just a steal as he’s played like a top-3 rookie from the 2020 class alongside Charlotte’s LaMelo Ball and Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards.

Tonight, Haliburton and the Kings put on an impressive performance against the Boston Celtics, as Sacramento won their second consecutive game, 107-96. Though his stat sheet from tonight may not scream out to you, Tyrese’s layup in the second quarter certainly will.

About three minutes into second quarter coming off a missed floater from Boston’s Jayson Tatum, De’Aron Fox grabbed the rebound and hit Haliburton with the outlet running down the right side of the floor. The rookie took one dribble before taking two steps and jumping around Boston’s Daniel Theis, double-clutching around the outstretched arms of Theis to finish the acrobatic layup.

Now, I don’t know about Space Jam 2 for Haliburton but Space Jam 3? Maybe so.
