After a very confusing decision by Florida State to go for it on fourth down and Clarence Lewis picking off a pass, it game Notre Dame a very short field and an opportunity to extend the lead.
That’s exactly what happened as the Irish only needed to go 32 yards to add onto their lead. The drive finished with running back Chris Tyree Getting an opportunity close to the goal line and finished it off with a one-yard touchdown run to extend the Notre Dame lead to 38-20 over the Seminoles. It was an easy score that any team would take and it was the third score of the third quarter for the Irish.
