Watch: Trickery! Jameis Winston is in the game and the Saints are in the end zone

Sean Payton opened up the playbook a bit on this second quarter touchdown from Jameis Winston to Tre’Quan Smith.

If you had Jameis Winston connecting with Tre’Quan Smith for a touchdown as a bet heading into Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, come collect your winnings.

Either that or you are not telling the truth.

But that scenario did play out Sunday night at the Superdome. After a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Mike Evans gave Tampa Bay a second-quarter lead, the Saints came back and retook the advantage when Winston came into the game and hooked up with Smith on this touchdown strike thanks to some trickery:

Running back Alvin Kamara aligned as the quarterback in a Wildcat formation, and he took the snap and immediately flipped the football to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Sanders then tossed the ball to Winston who took the deep shot to Smith for the touchdown. The flags came flying right at the snap leading some to wonder if the play would come back, but the flag was waved off.

With a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line, you empty the playbook.
