Running back Ezekiel Elliott’s performance against the Minnesota Vikings is one of his best on the season. It’s certainly the best over the course of the last several weeks, as he’s covered 72 yards on 16 carries. Still, there’s something to be said about his backup Tony Pollard, who just scored from 42 yards out.

He’s not as polished as Elliott at the finer points of the running back position and it’s clear the coaches don’t have the same amount of trust as they do for their bell cow. But still, the juice he brings is undeniable.
It’s just Pollard’s second rushing touchdown of the season, and the 42 yards is only two yards short of his career long. Today, even with a makeshift offensive line is the best the team’s run game has looked all year.
