Watch: The Rock sings a Christmas carol while cosplaying as his ’90s self

The Rock hasn’t lost his way with songs, serving up early WWE Attitude Era nostalgia for Christmas.

Leave it to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to deliver a Christmas gift all WWE fans can enjoy.

Late on Christmas night, Johnson posted a video to his Instagram account dressed as “’90s Rock,” complete with hair approximating his look from 20-some years ago (which we’ll assume was a wig), a black turtleneck with gold chain over top, and a fanny pack.

He also brought back warm, fuzzy memories of the early Attitude Era by singing his own rendition of “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You),” known to many as “Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire.” In classic Rock fashion, the lyrics took some liberties, including a NSFW word or two.

Take it all in below.

Tappin Fannys indeed.

The only other present Johnson could give WWE fans that would be better received would be a return to the ring. He may have teased that on social media this week as well, though he kept it suitably ambiguous.

The Rock might not ever give everyone another big WrestleMania moment, but at least we can rest assured that he’ll never lose his knack for hitting us right in the nostalgia center in the best possible way.
