One of Texas’ highest priority targets in the 2023 recruiting class continues to show off his unique athleticism.
Four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook took part in Pylon Dallas on Saturday and showcased why he is viewed as one of the top pass catchers in the 2023 recruiting class.
Cook is no stranger to jaw-dropping plays, but he may have hauled in one of his best one-handed catches over the weekend. The DeSoto product made it look effortless.

Texas is expected to host Cook, five-star running back Rueben Owens and five-star quarterback Arch Manning the weekend of March 26. The talented trio has expressed interest in playing with each other at the next level and the Longhorns remain in solid position with each of them.
Cook is rated the No. 6 wide receiver in the country and the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Texas for the 2023 cycle, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
