The Red River Rivalry kicks off on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
Texas and Oklahoma enter the anticipated matchup unranked for the first time since 2009. The Sooners have dropped back-to-back Big 12 conference games, while the Longhorns were upset in Week 4 by Texas Tech.
If Steve Sarkisian’s squad is able to pull out a win here, it could essentially eliminate Oklahoma from the Big 12 title race.
The Longhorns welcome the return of starting quarterback Quinn Ewers, who has been sidelined since the first half of the Alabama game with a SC sprain in his shoulder.
There is no shortage of excitement and hatred between these two fan bases. On Friday, Texas released a hype video that narrated what this game means to the players and fans.
If you weren’t already looking forward to this Texas-Oklahoma game, now you are.
