Texas is in the full swing of their offseason workouts en route to the second spring season under Steve Sarkisian.
The program is in a tough spot as the only way they can go is up, but if they somehow manage to replicate the poor season they had in 2021, people will likely be losing jobs.
The first season post Tom Herman and Sam Ehlinger saw Texas take a step back, finishing 5-7 and having many people questioning if they made the right hire at head coach. While that may be an overreaction, Sarkisian and his staff went to extreme measures this offseason to add as much talent as humanly possible.
Texas pulled in the No. 5 recruiting class, along with the No. 8 transfer portal class and are expecting many of the new faces to either start or play a big role right away.
The staff is making sure the players are working hard and buying into the culture this offseason.

These winter workouts will give some new, and maybe even some older players a chance to stand out ahead of spring ball where there will be position battles all over the field.
