Watch Texas A&M commit Landon Rink break his high school’s squat clean record

2025 4-star DL and Aggie commit Landon Rink just broke his high school’s squat clean record!

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class exemplifies head coach Mike Elko’s influence. Since taking over the program last November, Elko has landed cycle 19 commitments with the help of his impressive coaching staff, including 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet.

However, 2025 4-star defensive lineman Landon Rink stands out mainly due to his impressive strength and weight room heroics. He recently showed off his lifting feats during the annual OT7 competition this summer.

Rink, who is entering his senior season at Cy-Fair HS in Cypress, Texas, took to the weight room once again to attempt to break the program’s squat clean record, which was recently held by former Cy-Fair tight end and current Detroit Lion Brock Wright.

Well, unsurprising to his teammates and those of us who have covered his play, Rink successfully cleaned 350 pounds, and even though it wasn’t perfect, he got the job done!

During his 2023 junior season, Rink’s performance was exceptional. He was one of the most dominant high school players in the country. He recorded an impressive 70 tackles, 15 sacks, 30 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

According to Rivals, Rink is the 175th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 11th-ranked defensive lineman, and the 25th-ranked prospect in Texas.
