Houston Texans safety Jonathan Owens came up with his second turnover of Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16 at NRG Stadium.
On a first-and-10 from the Chargers’ 49-yard line, defensive end DeMarcus Walker forced a fumble of running back Justin Jackson. Owens scooped up the ball to give Houston their second takeaway of the afternoon.
The Texans were only able to get three points on the extra possession, but it was enough as it extended Houston’s lead 24-15 with 8:54 to go in the fourth quarter.
Owens picked off quarterback Justin Herbert in the first half, intercepting the ball at the 1-yard line to leave the Chargers empty handed after visiting Houston’s red zone.
