This marks the fourth career game for Rex Burkhead that he has scored 2+ rushing touchdowns, and his first since Sept. 27, 2020, when he was with the #Patriots.pic.twitter.com/2e17swPlB7

Houston Texans running back Rex Burkhead scored a 1-yard touchdown to give the Houston Texans a 24-15 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers early in the fourth quarter Sunday afternoon in Week 16 at NRG Stadium.
The Texans took advantage of the Chargers’ porous run defense, which allowed 4.6 yards per carry entering Week 16.
Burkhead told reporters on Dec. 20 that part of the secret is to stay healthy.
“Being a veteran in this league, I’ve learned some things to recover faster and just get my body in the best shape possible for games,” said Burkhead. “I take that knowledge and approach every single day.”
