The Washington Redskins have had an inspired start to the game against Detroit, and the player of the game thus far has been rookie Steven Sims.
After taking the opening kickoff for a nice gain to get the Redskins near midfield, he showed his skills once again at the start of the second quarter, returning a kickoff all the way to the house for a touchdown, giving the Redskins a 10-3 lead.
All in all, Washington has looked decent so far against Detroit, and they were able to move the ball a bit on offense, though Haskins has been a little bit off on his throws. Nonetheless, if the special teams are going to continue to play like this, the rest of it is all gravy.
