After a quiet start to the preseason opener against the Washington Wizards in Japan, the reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player flashed his signature long-distance jumper in front of the crowd in Japan.
With 8:53 remaining in the first half, Steph Curry pulled up from deep beyond the arc to hit his first triple of the 2022 preseason. Curry’s 32-footer helped the Warriors stretch their lead over the Wizards to six points.

In the first half against the Wizards on Friday morning, Curry tallied six points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field and 1-of-4 from deep with three boards and two assists in 13 minutes in the preseason opener.

On the way to adding his fourth championship ring, Curry averaged 25.5 points on 43.7% shooting from the field and 38% from long distance, with 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds per contest.
