Boston Celtics stashed point guard Yam Madar continues to work on his game overseas, putting up another solid performance in a league with a high level of play in his new role as floor general for KK Partizan NIS of the Basketball League of Serbia (KLS), Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA — not to be confused by the now-defunct US league that competed with the NBA until several teams joined it in the late 1970s) and EuroCup leagues.
Madar has been slowly finding his legs in the new league and put up 13 points, a steal, and a block while shooting 4-of-4 from 2-point range, 2-for-2 from the free-throw line, and 1-of-3 from beyond the arc in an 86 – 68 blowout of Serbian club Košarkaški klub Borac Čačak on Oct. 30.
The Beit Dagan native would tie former Golden State Warriors forward Alen Smailagić as the team’s second leading scorer, trailing only forward Zach LeDay’s 14 points.
