While the Boston Celtics’ season opener against the New York Knicks might not have ended the way we wanted as spectacular of a game as it was, one player the Celtics have the rights to also had a huge game, one that ended in a decisive win.
Guard Juhann Begarin, Boston’s selection in the 2021 NBA draft, put up 25 points and 4 rebounds on an absolutely sizzling 10-of-12 shooting night from the floor, including 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. His effort contributed to a 107-81 obliteration of Rouen Métropole Basket by Begarin’s club, Paris Basket LNB Pro A, in the French Basketball Cup tournament.
The French wing had one of the best games of his career on the same night potential future teammate Jaylen Brown put up a career-high 46 points, perhaps channeling the same sort of efficiency demonstrated against the Knicks by Brown.
