Fans of the Boston Celtics have grown accustomed to following the development of stashed Israeli point guard Yam Madar as he hones his craft overseas, but as of this last summer, he is not the only prospect stashed by the Celtics abroad.
The former No. 45 pick of the 2021 NBA draft for the Celtics Juhann Begarin has also been hard at work with Paris Basketball of the LNB Pro A league in France. The French shooting guard most recently put up 22 points, 2 rebounds, an assist, and 2 steals in a 100 – 75 blowout loss to AS Monaco. Begarin shot a very good 8-of-13 from the field, just 1-of-4 from 3-point range and 5-of-7 from the charity stripe.
There’s still work to be done on that outside shooting, but the Les Abymes native looks to be coming along nicely this season in general.
