With the NBA on hiatus, players have gotten creative in how they’re passing the time. Some players like Spencer Dinwiddie are watching their own highlights. Other players are live streaming their video games on Twitch.
Tik Tok has been another medium where players have expressed themselves.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was in a Tik Tok video recently with Darius Bazley and Chris Paul. Gilgeous-Alexander did another video without his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates, and he hit the Dougie.
The Dougie is a throwback dance to middle school and high school for NBA players in their early 20s or younger. With people social distancing, NBA players are no different.
Like many others, they need something to do considering they have more free time than usual. Dancing is a good way to simply have fun and relax.

Since the NBA is preparing to return in mid-to-late June, it’s going to be interesting to see the variety of ways players show their creativity.
