After the Dallas Cowboys hopped ahead to a three-point lead, former Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson threw a gorgeous deep ball to Tyler Lockett for a 43-yard touchdown that put the Seattle Seahawks back into the lead.
In a designed play-action, Wilson rolled out to his right to let the high flying pass go to a wide-open Lockett that simply had to walk into the endzone. Russell Wilson led the league in passing touchdowns with nine entering week three, as well as was ranked second in average passer rating with 87.2.
The league-leading statistics will likely continue as the former Wisconsin quarterback is having an outstanding game so far against the Cowboys. The excellent play of Wilson has led him to be an early MVP favorite, and I’m sure plays like that he made to Lockett will further improve his standing.
