WATCH: Sam Ehlinger reflects on his journey ahead of the NFL draft

Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger released a hype video ahead of the 2021 NFL draft that reflects on how he got to this point.

Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger has spent the last few months preparing for the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. He took advantage of Texas’ Pro Day on March 11, which was the only real chance to showcase his skills outside of the Reese’s Senior Bowl a few months prior.

Due to COVID-19, the majority of draft hopefuls have kept a fairly low profile since there was not an NFL combine held. Ehlinger is no exception, aside from winning the Jason Witten Man of the Year Award.

Ehlinger has now partenered with Panini, a collectables and trading cards company, and released his own personal story from the time he was a kid to the present day.

In the video, Ehlinger talks about his lifelong love for Texas, losing his dad, playing quarterback at nearby Westlake High School and his time as the Longhorns quarterback.

As he mentioned in the video, his childhood dreams were to play for Texas and make it to the NFL. Ehlinger is roughly two weeks away from making both of those dreams become reality.
