The last time the 49ers were in the NFC championship game, their hopes for a win ended at the hands of Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Now it was Sherman’s turn to help the 49ers.
He ran under Aaron Rodgers’ deep ball coming out of the two-minute warning to make the interception and effectively end the NFC championship game to send the 49ers to Super Bowl LIV in Miami.
