The New England Patriots scored the first touchdown of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson rumbled his way past multiple defenders for a 33-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
The run itself was set up by corner Christian Gonzalez, who made an interception grab to start the possession.
It was Stevenson’s third touchdown of the season, and it gave the Patriots a 7-3 lead following the extra point. The veteran running back didn’t start the game due to fumbling issues, but he made up for it in a big way by getting the offense on the scoreboard.

The Patriots offense has been built on the running game this season, and they’ve managed to lean on that effectively early on against the Dolphins.
Time will tell if they can continue to do so effectively given the ongoing offensive struggles for the team.
