With a massive bout with the defending national champions, a new era of Oregon football will begin, as head coach Dan Lanning gets his first career game under his belt, once that comes against his former team.
Oregon may be outmatched on paper, with Georgia holding the second-best team in the nation when it comes to 247Sports talent composite — Oregon is No. 6 on the list — but none of that may matter when the ball is snapped.
“Those stars? You didn’t bring them out on this field,” Lanning said in the video. “All you’ve got is them cleats, those shoulder pads, and that jersey.”
