Watch: Ohio State’s Justin Fields is lighting up Clemson in Sugar Bowl

Justin Fields and Ohio State were all over Clemson in the first half of the Sugar Bowl

Ohio State lost the College Football Playoff semifinal last year to Clemson after a controversial call took a touchdown off the board. The Buckeyes are seeking revenge, big time, after 30 minutes of spectacular football against the Tigers.

Justin Fields was the “other” quarterback in the 2021 Sugar Bowl. Trevor Lawrence of Clemson, the expected No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft, received the spotlight.

Tables turned in the first and second quarters as Fields went off, completing 16-of-18 passes for 223 yards and 4 TDs. Trey Sermon had 121 yards rushing and the other TD as the Buckeyes rolled into halftime with a 35-14 advantage.

They piled up 394 yards of total offense in 30 minutes.

The fourth Fields TD pass:

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney might regret voting the 6-0 Buckeyes 11th in the Amway Coaches Poll. That seems to have served as motivation.
