The Atlanta Falcons will get a good look at the top quarterback prospects this weekend at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Some prospects, such as Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, are expected to throw.
Others, such as USC’s Caleb Williams and North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, are not expected to throw. Both players are considered locks for the top five. Williams is projected to go first overall to the Bears, and Maye will likely be drafted second or third by the Commanders or Patriots.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero caught up with Maye at the combine, asking the Tar Heels QB why NFL teams should target him in the draft. “You don’t want to game plan for me, you want to game plan with me,” replied Maye.
