The Boston Celtics appear to be in freefall after dropping a game on the road to a COVID-19 decimated Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night, with fans having to slog through yet another night of the team failing to live up to even some fairly low expectations.
To be fair, the Celtics are dealing with some significant issues with players in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but given their opponent was a weaker team on paper even before it was hit with similar absences suggests something structural needs attention — and fast if the Ime Udoka head coaching era is to not go down in flames.
What can the team do to turn things around? Are big trades inevitable? NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Mannix talks with Amina Smith about the status quo of the Celtics after the painful loss.
Watch the clip embedded above to hear what Mannix has to say about Boston’s woes — and what needs to improve to fix them.
