WATCH: Nate Oats can coach a basketball team, but can he golf?

Alabama MB HC Nate Oats spent time chatting with Auburn basketball legend Charles Barkley and worked on his golf swing at the Regions Pro-am

Today, Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats participated in the Regions Tradition Pro-Am at the Greystone Founders Course in Hoover, Alabama.

Oats was one of various high-profile people in the state of Alabama to participate. Crimson Tide football coach Nick Saban was in attendance, as was new Auburn football coach Bryan Harsin and Auburn basketball legend Charles Barkley.

Barkley, who has taken part in other featured golf pro-ams, has gotten significantly better at the sport. He was recently mocked for a laughable swing, which motivated him to get better.

It appears Oats may need to take a few lessons at the ‘Barkley Golf Academy.’

During press conferences today, Oats said that his handicap is “Whatever the max handicap is.”

Videos of his swing were also posted to social media today while he was at the driving range. It’s not perfect, but defenitely something he can improve upon.

Oats was also able to chat with Barkley at to event.
