Michigan State basketball commit Pierre Brooks is continuing to put up huge performances, with his latest monster game resulting in Detroit Frederick Douglass moving one step closer to a state championship.
Brooks dropped 35 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help lead the Hurricanes past Southfield Christian, 68-56, on Tuesday night. With the win, Detroit Frederick Douglass moves on to face Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart in the Division 4 state semifinals on Thursday.

Brooks is part of a loaded 2021 class that’ll be coming to East Lansing next season — currently ranked No. 9 nationally. Brooks is No. 66 overall recruit in the class and No. 12 small forward prospect.
