WATCH: Marcus Smart scores 23 points, 6 assists in Game 3 win vs. Nets (5/28)

Celtics guard Marcus Smart scored 23 points and 6 assists in last night’s Game 3 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

Jayson Tatum needed a sidekick last night during his 50-point performance in the Boston’s Game 3 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, 125-119, and that’s exactly what Marcus Smart provided.

Smart finished the game with 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from downtown.

Down the stretch of the fourth quarter, Smart hit a driving double-pump floater over former Celtic Kyrie Irving to put Boston up 12 with just over 3:00 remaining.

Smart’s versatility on both ends of the floor will continue to be an important factor for Boston if they want to tie this series up in Game 4.
