WATCH: Lonzo Ball scores 15, hands out seven assists in road win vs. Portland

Lonzo Ball flew out of the gates to start the second half of the season on Friday, pouring in 15 points to lead the Pelicans to a win.

In a huge game coming out of the All-Star break on Friday, Lonzo Ball was arguably the biggest contributor for the New Orleans Pelicans, helping the team earn a comfortable 128-115 win in Portland.

Ball not only played the most minutes for New Orleans on the night at 40:18, he was the lone Pelican to play at least 32 minutes. Jrue Holiday was the only other player over 30 minutes in the win as well.

He saw extended time on the court on Friday largely due to him finishing with a team-best plus-minus of +25. Ball finished with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting overall and 3-of-5 shooting from three-point territory. He also added seven assists and pulled down four rebounds.

His performance helped the Pelicans take one step closer to the eighth seed as the team is just four games back now after Friday’s win paired with back-to-back losses from Memphis to open the second-half of the season.
