It’s still three hours until kickoff, but that’s never stopped folks in the Midwest from day-drinking ahead of a football game.
On that subject, the Seattle Seahawks should expect an absolutely raucous atmosphere at Ford Field in today’s critical matchup with the Detroit Lions. Relevant for the first time since Barry Sanders retired, Detroit is rocking and ready to go – and a lot of fans will be sporting blue ski masks. Observe.

Geno Smith and the Seahawks will have to be sharp on their silent counts at the line of scrimmage, or else things could get ugly quick. That element could be further complicated by having two replacement starters up front for the offensive line. Stone Forsythe is starting in place of the injured Charles Cross at left tackle, while Jake Curhan is replacing Abe Lucas at right tackle.
The Lions have won eight of their last 10 games going back to last season and are 4.5 point favorites for this one.
