After four games on the road, the Golden State Warriors returned to San Francisco’s Chase Center to open a seven-game homestand with a contest against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Klay Thompson quickly gave the home crowd something to cheer about.
In his second game at Chase Center since making his long-awaited return to the court, Thompson tallied 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field with three triples in the first half alone.
To end his explosive first-half performance, Thompson buried a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to send the Warriors into halftime with a 28-point advantage over the Pistons. After Thompson got his jumper to fall before the horn, the Golden State bench and the crowd at Chase Center erupted with cheers.
