Throughout the 2019-20 season, there’s always been at least one name included on the Brooklyn Nets injury report: Kevin Durant. He has generally been joined by at least one other, if not more, but Durant is the lone constant, due to his surgically repaired right Achilles, which he ruptured in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals when he was still with the Golden State Warriors.
Initially, there was hope that Durant might return to the court and make his Nets debut in 2019-20, but Brooklyn and the forward have maintained the same message: they do not expect him to play this season.
Still, the forward continues to work in the right direction. Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News caught a glimpse of the latest progression in Durant’s rehab — and it looks like he has taken a major step:

Luckily for Nets fans, they don’t have to worry about Durant throwing footballs in order to win games. (Though, there might be a few NFL teams that would improve at quarterback if they added Brooklyn’s superstar forward.)
