Jonathan Taylor is in the midst of an incredible 2021 season that somehow seems to keep getting better. His meteoric rise continued in the Colts’ win over the Patriots on Saturday, as the former Badger reached the top recorded speed (22.13 mph) in the NFL this season on his 67-yard game-sealing touchdown scamper.
Taylor’s success this season looks like a carbon copy of what Badger fans saw for three years in Madison. With Indianapolis, the two-time Doak Walker Award winner has a strong offensive line, a passing game that isn’t fully respected by defenses, and a massive workload as he looks to carry the Colts to the playoffs.
The Big Ten Network recently put together a clip of Taylor’s longest runs in Madison. For a back that wasn’t exactly sold as the fastest coming out of college in the 2020 NFL draft, he certainly reached blazing speeds at the college level:
So much talk about Jonathan Taylor's speed, and for good reason. 🏃💨
