Johnny Offense was at it again, proving his versatility and importance to the Scarlet Knights offense.

Langan hauled in a huge 27-yard pass on third-and-9 late in the third quarter, his catch extending a Rutgers drive. He rose well, caught the ball at its apex and held on despite a hard hit as he went twisting down to the turf.

So far this year, Langan has played quarterback, fullback, running back and tight end. He might be the most versatile player in college football and his integration into the offense has helped sustain the Scarlet Knights through some lean times offensively.

Ten plays after Langan’s catch, quarterback Noah Vedral ran 15 yards for a touchdown that put Rutgers up 17-14.
