Less than a week has passed Joe Burrow winning the Heisman Trophy, but he now already has a football stadium named in his honor.

The LSU Tiger’s high school, Athens High School, will name its stadium, “The Joe Burrow Stadium,” after a school board vote Thursday night.

The Athens City School district tweeted that its board voted unanimously in favor of the new name, noting that there will be a commemoration ceremony after the LSU football season ends.

The recognition from Burrow’s high school and the district follow the Louisiana State senior calling attention to the Athens community during his Heisman acceptance speech Saturday night. Burrow highlighted the high poverty levels in Athens county which have resulted in more than $460,000 being raised in donations to the Athens County Food Pantry via a Facebook fundraiser which was launched Sunday.

Burrow and the top-seeded Tigers take on the fourth-seeded Oklahoma Sooners in the first college football playoff semifinal Dec. 28.
