The 49ers had just 192 yards of offense when they took over at their own 9-yard line trailing by 4 midway through the fourth quarter. Then George Kittle got involved. Jimmy Garoppolo made a couple big-time throws on a six-play, 91-yard drive that resulted in a 7-yard touchdown pass from Garoppolo to Kittle.

Another huge play on this series was a 20-yard strike from Garoppolo to tight end Ross Dwelley. A hit up high on Dwelley tacked on a penalty that put the 49ers at the 10. They got in three plays later to go up 31-28.
