We found out earlier this week that Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown’s grandpa Willie Brown was diagnosed with cancer just ahead of the post-hiatus restart hosted by Disney in the so-called bubble, which he revealed during an appearance on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

In it, the Georgia native talks not just about the deal he struck with Willie to go down to the bubble, but also his work on education reform and other kinds of activism he engages via his 7uice Foundation, which Brown himself put together.
He started the foundation “to positively affect young men and women through educational experiences, through athletics, and also social programs,” according to his interview with DeGeneres, who generously donated a $10,000 award to further such causes.
