Yet again, the Boston Celtics wing duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum proved to be one of the most potent offensive threats in the league, driving the Celtics to a close 122 – 120 road win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
Brown led all scorers with 31 points on sizzling 13-of-16 shooting, including connecting on 5 of his 8 3-point attempts, while Tatum put up 24 points, 8 rebounds and a career-high 12 assists as the Duke product flashed his growing playmaking chops. And while Tatum was less efficient than Brown, hitting 10-of-22 overall, he was nearly as deadly beyond the arc, going 4-of-8.

The pair were all the difference between another unexpected loss and the win they pulled out through late heroics, perhaps setting a tone we’ll see more of until All-Star teammate Kemba Walker can return from strengthening his knee.
