Watch: Jalen Ramsey coaches up Van Jefferson in awesome ‘Hard Knocks’ clip

Van Jefferson is benefiting from Jalen Ramsey’s mentorship in practice.

Van Jefferson may only be a rookie, but he’s mature beyond his years, according to just about everyone in Los Angeles. Maybe it’s because his dad is a wide receivers coach in the NFL, or perhaps his time at Ole Miss and Florida prepared him for the pros.

Having one of the best cornerbacks covering him in practice each week will do wonders for the rookie, too, and he’s benefiting from that already with Jalen Ramsey lining up across from him in camp.

“Hard Knocks” caught a couple of moments where Ramsey was coaching up Jefferson on his route running, which made for an awesome video.

Ramsey talks a lot of trash on the field, but he’s clearly a great mentor to his teammates, too. He’s doing his part to help the Rams improve any way possible, and teaching Jefferson what goes through the minds of NFL cornerbacks will prepare the rookie for what he’s going to face as a pro.
