Even though Jalen Hurts finished his college career at Oklahoma, he’s still proudly owned by Alabama fans, who not only supported him in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and in Norman, Oklahoma, but will continue to support him in the NFL.
Hurts sat down for an interview with Outside The Lines and discussed his time at Alabama, and his relationships with Saban and Tagovailoa.
“That’s a relationship that’ll never go away. I talk to him and kept in touch with him all year.”@JalenHurts tells @JeremySchaap about his relationship with @Tuaamann as they both enter the 2020 NFL Draft. pic.twitter.com/ogcEIMUO5k

While talking about Tagovailoa, this is what Hurts had to say:
“That’s a relationship that will never go away, die down. Talked to him and kept in touch with him all year. I’m pulling for him, as always.”
And Hurts also made it clear how he feels about Saban as well:
“I’ve got a lot of appreciation for him, a lot of respect for him. … I think he’s a relentless competitor, takes a straight-on approach at what he does, and those similarities are the exact reason why I chose to go to that university.”
At Alabama, Hurts threw for 4,861 yards passing, 1,809 yards rushing, 40 TDs, 10 INT, and 21 rushing touchdowns. And at Oklahoma this past season, he threw for 3,851 yards, 32 TDS, and 8 INTs.
Simply put, Jalen Hurts will be a star in the NFL one day, and it’s more than just the stats.
It’s the type of guy he is, the type of leader he has become. A player will who forever change any team he joins.
