Boston Celtics stashed draft pick Yam Madar is slated to finally join the team that drafted him at No. 47 overall in 2020 to play with the Celtics in Las Vegas Summer League, and there has been quite a bit of hype surrounding the Beit Dagan native and his potential to contribute meaningfully to the team.
He has, to his credit, taken huge strides as a player in the 2020-21 season he played at the highest level of the Israeli Premier Basketball League with Hapoel Tel Aviv. He even garnered the league’s Most Improved Player award, and was the youngest in league history to do so at just 20 years old.
But is all the hype just setting the potential Celtics rookie up for a letdown?
