WATCH: Is Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka due an apology?

More than a few Celtics fans were quick to turn on Udoka early in the season while the team struggled to find an identity.

Do a certain especially vocal and impatient subset of Boston Celtics fans owe new head coach Ime Udoka an apology after being particularly critical of the Portland native in the Celtics’ rough start to the 2021-22 NBA season? Some fans quickly turned on Udoka when the team did not immediately begin producing results at the start of the season.

Now, four months into the season, the uninspired defense and ISO-heavy offense is largely gone from Boston’s style of play, with the Celtics owning one of the most stifling defenses in the entire league with a very solid offense to go with it.

Given enough time, Udoka has remade his team into his image, and it has translated into the ball club quietly climbing back up the Eastern Conference standings as they threaten to secure home court in the 2022 NBA Playoffs’ first round.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast Evan Valenti and Adam Kaufman are joined by guest Abby Chin from NBC Sports Boston to talk all things Ime Udoka, and come out with some strong takes you need to listen to the clip embedded above to hear.
