The one thing Notre Dame fans kept waiting for Ian Book to do in his almost three full seasons of starting was to be able to unleash a deep ball.
There were moments but never anything with consistency and that has followed him to where he is now, working out at the annual Senior Bowl, trying to impress enough to get drafted this spring.
On the first day of practice, Book did what so many have been waiting for him to do for so long.

Book also made a nice connection with Fank Darby from Arizona State:

Former director of scouting at Scout, Scott Freeman had praise for Book on Tuesday.
FWIW after day 1, I'd have the National quarterbacks
1. Ian Book – Notre Dame
2. Sam Ehlinger – Texas
3. Feleipe Franks – ArkansasNot a big separation #NotreDame #HookEm #hawgs #SeniorBowl
