WATCH: How to assess the Boston Celtics at the midpoint of the 2021-22 NBA season?

Getting a read on this team deeper than its record is not an easy task — or is it?

How to judge the 2021-22 Boston Celtics at the midpoint of the season? On one hand, there’s been a lot of reasons one can point to as to why the Celtics have struggled to succeed under new head coach Ime Udoka, but on the other hand, plenty of teams have faced adversity and shown more resolve and better responses to it.

It should also be considered that the team is very much a work in progress and its constituent parts showing at least some signs of growth among core players, but the team’s younger players are buried in the rotation once again and showing little signs of development.

At the end of the day, the team is hovering around .500 for yet another season, so how high can one rate this team given the context of the situation Boston finds itself in?

The host of the NBC Sports Boston podcast “Celtics Talk” Chris Forsberg recently joined guest Brian Robb of the CLNS Media “Winning Plays” podcast and the duo did their best to assess the Celtics at the seasons halfway point.

Watch the video embedded above to see what they had to say about this team and its prospects for the second half of the season.
