The Los Angeles Rams added some versatility to their secondary on Friday night by drafting defensive back Terrell Burgess out of Utah. Burgess can play safety and nickel cornerback, giving the Rams countless options on defense.
With how often they deploy sub-packages, including “big nickel” sets, the Rams should get a lot of use out of Burgess – even as a rookie. He’ll compete for the starting nickel spot that was left by Nickell Robey-Coleman, and also contribute as a third safety and on special teams.
If you want to get a feel for the type of player Burgess is, take a look at some highlights below from his time at Utah.
