Have the Boston Celtics hit the absolute rock bottom of their 2021-22 NBA season, or are there further depths this club could possibly sink to? After losing several winnable games against teams good and bad both, it seems as if the team has hit the lowest low imaginable for a team some thought might make a deep run this postseason to come.
Now, the vultures are circling and fans and analysts alike are openly wondering whether even the team’s best players might be better off playing in a different uniform. And while it is almost certainly too soon to split up the Celtics’ two star wings just to see if that solves the recent poor play, it is almost guaranteed that the team will look notably different come the end of February.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast recently found themselves in the position of debating whether the Celtics have gotten as bad as they can reasonably be assumed to get, and came to some uncomfortable conclusions.
