Sunday was a devastating day for countless people as a helicopter crash in Southern California killed nine people, including NBA great Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.
It was especially emotional for family and friends of Rick Fox, the former Los Angeles Laker who played seven seasons with Kobe. Fox was not on the helicopter, but speculation on Twitter had picked up steam to the point that Fox was rumored to have died in the crash as well.
Fox shared with the NBA on TNT crew this week that his phone started going crazy with friends and family calling to see if the rumor was true. “It shook a lot of people in my life,” Fox said.
